Digging In The Dirt
Get ready to get dirty as we learn all about soil! Participants will get a chance to truly “dig in” as we learn about different soil types and the various organic materials that go into maintaining a healthy soil for our plants. Did you know that there are built-in recyclers within our environment? We’ll also talk about decomposers and why they’re such useful critters to have in your garden. Participants will get an opportunity to explore the garden, and learn about soil through different hands-on activities. The program will also include a take-home project to help people bring their new knowledge & skills back to their own gardens!
Please note: These programs are fun for all-ages and are designed for parents & grandparents to learn alongside their children. A parent or guardian must remain with their children throughout the program.
The suggested donation for this event is $20 per group. All proceeds benefit the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays.
