We're Honored to Be Featured by Nuts for Natives!

We’re a little bit blushing over here. The wonderful folks at Nuts for Natives recently paid us a visit and wrote up the kindest feature about our little garden center near the shore — and we just had to share it with you.

In their article, “Inland Bays Garden Center for Native Plants: It’s a Shore Thing,” they captured exactly what we hope every visitor feels when they walk through our gates. They wrote that our “low key enthusiasm is contagious in the very best way” — and honestly, that might be the nicest thing anyone’s ever said about us.

The piece highlights the things we care about most: healthy, well-tended native plants suited to the Chesapeake region, staff who genuinely love talking plants (yes, we’ll happily explain the difference between a male and female fringe tree), and services like landscape design, garden coaching, rain gardens, and pollinator gardens. They even gave a nod to our demonstration gardens and classes.

For us, being recognized as a destination for native plants means the world. Choosing natives isn’t just beautiful — it supports local pollinators, birds, and the health of our coastal ecosystem. That’s the heart of everything we do.

A big thank you to Nuts for Natives for stopping by and spreading the word. If you haven’t read the full article yet, give it a look here — and then come see us in person. We’d love to help you find your next favorite native plant.
